Why Recruitment isn’t like the Olympics

You don’t need to do 4 years of training and you become better at it the older you get.
You also don’t need to keep fit, watch what you eat or take drugs.
Some of that last sentence may not be true.
Anyone who does try to tell you that recruitment is like the Olympics, or any trending news story (Pokemon, David Bowie, etc..) might be trying to sell you something.
I’m just saying be careful, that’s all.

And like the Olympics the moment a recruiter receives an accolade, award or recognition based on performance – then recruitment can be compared to that aspect of Olympic competition that concludes with the awarding of gold, silver and bronze medals and the worldwide, or local, recognition based on performance and measurable results – with some that are record setting.
