This is a job advertisement

This is one of those old-fashioned job adverts you used to see years ago. The type of sales manager job advert that actually wants someone who can actually manage people.
Manage. You know. Get people to do stuff. Willingly.
If you know someone who, if asked “What are the the 5 basic leadership styles?”, would know without googling it, please share this advert with them.
Thanks.
SALES DIRECTOR
100K basic, 150K package
Central London
Digital Media
This high achieving, privately owned global digital business needs an inspirational new Sales Director.
Someone who can operate strategically, cultivate strong stakeholder relationships and motivate and develop sales teams to drive-up revenue.
This is a very visible leadership role with a successful tech company. In just a few years, the business has grown to be a genuinely well-recognised and serious player in their field, developing and delivering on-demand software. They already work with clients whose names you’ll instantly recognise and they’ve already open offices in the US and are ambitious to keep growing.
You’ll manage three small teams, each focused on a different area of sales and revenue generation: new business, account management and managed services. This is a dynamic business so you’ll relish moving between operational direction alongside the CEO, Finance and Marketing Director and day-to-day team-leadership: coaching, coaxing out people’s potential, setting high standards – a chance to really lead by example.
About you
Digital sector experience isn’t essential. Having said that, in this day and age, we’d be very surprised if some of your sales success hadn’t come via digital channels.
Above all, we want someone with proven people management skills – a manager, a motivator and a coach. Someone who can bring out the best in sales and account management teams selling, upselling and servicing the company’s market-leading on-demand software.
You’ll be part of the senior leadership team, working closely with the Chief Executive, Finance and Marketing Director to drive the business forward, initially in the UK and eventually across the globe.
That demands a full arsenal of strategic sales leadership skills: networking flair; tenacity; an understanding of the psychology of selling plus the ability to evaluate data and trends and to apply your thinking to make good decisions.
You’ll also need to demonstrate that you understand how to train and mentor talented salespeople to achieve even more. Last, but not least, you should be charismatic, very driven and at your best when working at pace.
In essence, what we’re really looking for is a Sales Leader, in the very literal definition of both of those words.
