Employment Branding is essentially the act of understanding what your various employment value propositions are and then articulating them in the right way through the right channels, consistently.

It works on the assumption that the best candidates are as discerning as you are and therefore require open, honest and compelling reasons why they should ever consider joining your company. It underpins every single thing you do when hiring new staff – but when ignored or done badly, it undermines everything you do when hiring new staff.

Branding your employment proposition is not the exclusive domain of the large blue-chip corporates. In fact, a coherent argument could be mounted to claim that SME’s need powerful employer branding even more than their more illustrious corporate cousins – because if they too cannot attract the right people, their prospects for growth are severely limited.
